Meet Rebecca Steiner, Naturopathic Medical Assistant and Certified Health and Wellness Coach
I was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 1999. In those days there was very little known about Lyme disease or treatment. Before my diagnosis I spent many years going from one medical doctor to another only to be misdiagnosed or told there was no explanation for my symptoms. It was not until I entered the world of integrative, holistic medicine, that I finally received the correct diagnosis and treatment. Along the way, I was blessed to encounter incredible physicians with infinite wisdom to share. I achieved remission, completed my undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley, and learned so much about health and wellness as a result.
The silver lining of my experience with illness is that I discovered so much about how to care for my body on my own, the importance of diet, nutrition and lifestyle. I also learned how to navigate the complexities of the health care system, and how to be my own advocate. It seemed only natural that I would make my career in the health care field. I wanted to find a way to incorporate all of my experiences to help others. As a Naturopathic Medical Assistant and certified Health Coach, now I support people on their journey towards wellness.
I believe that health is our most valuable resource. I also believe everyone’s path to “optimal health” is unique and important, whether it means overcoming a chronic illness or achieving a fitness goal. That is why Health Coaching is so individual and can also be very powerful. I work one-on-one with patients and their doctors to determine the best ways to achieve their personal health and fitness goals, and to identify and resolve any impediments to their success. This can mean different things for different people. One patient might need help incorporating her supplements into her daily routine. Another might need a daily meal plan in order to adhere to a special diet prescribed by his doctor. Sometimes making changes can be overwhelming. As a Health Coach, I am passionate about helping people to accomplish their health goals, and improve their lives.
I live in Marin County, California, with my husband and daughter.
Rebecca Steiner specializes in the treatment of Lyme disease and associated tick-borne infections, mold toxicity, SIBO, weight loss, peptide therapy and LDI/LDA (low-dose immunotherapy/allergy therapy.)
